Derron Sanders graduated from the Michigan State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and from Wayne State University in 2000 with Masters in Business Administration (finance concentration). After graduation, Mr. Sanders joined Johnson Controls as a Sales Engineer and subsequently joined Walbridge as Director of Business Development / Real Estate Advisor. During his employment, Mr. Sanders was responsible for sales, marketing and management for projects in excess of $100 million. Mr. Sanders initiated his real estate investment career and made his first successful acquisition in 1998 with a $1,000 loan from his grandmother. In 2000, Mr. Sanders founded Sanders Group L.L.C., (“SG”), a privately held real estate investment company that currently owns and operates a portfolio of approximately 2,000 units. As Managing Member of SG, Mr. Sanders oversees the entire company and is responsible for the fiscal operation of each property in the portfolio. Mr. Sanders is involved in every aspect of the daily operation of property management and employs an experienced and talented staff responsible for executing his strategic vision for the company.
Peter Groezinger

Peter Groezinger graduated from the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and from Penn State University with a Master’s in Business Administration. Mr. Groezinger has over 26 years of financial experience in real estate, construction and banking. In his role as CFO, Mr. Groezinger is responsible for the management and oversight of the accounting and finance activities of SG and its related entities. Prior to joining SG in 2012, Mr. Groezinger spent the previous 14 years serving as the CFO/Controller roles for a mobile home park owner/operator, a national land developer and a specialty construction company with projects in more than 20 states. From 1989 to 1998, Mr. Groezinger was a commercial lender with the former NBD Bank.

Mr. Siders joined SG in 2010 as a partner and is responsible for Operations and Sales & Marketing. Desmen works closely with our niche clients and is responsible for the development and implementation of SG’s global strategy. Leadership and building world class teams with talent is a key priority for Desmen and he is committed to building an inclusive and diverse organization that reflects our global customer base. In 1996, Desmen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Michigan State University. In 2006, he received his Residential Builders and Maintenance & Alteration Contractors License.
Randy Suciu

Randy Suciu graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting and has over 35 years of experience in the real estate, construction and banking industry’s. In his role as Controller, Mr. Suciu is responsible for the accounting and banking activities of SG and its entities. Prior to joining SG in 2017, Mr. Suciu has spent his career serving as CFO / Controller for several national real estate development, property management and construction companies across the United States, as well as the mortgage banking industry and directly working with general contracting companies.

Maria Baker joined SG in 2010. As SG’s Director of Human Resources, Training & Development, Maria prides herself on hiring and retaining the “Best People on the Planet”. Maria has developed training curricula based on our client’s unique program requirements to ensure our team members are equipped with the specialized skills needed to be successful on a global scale. Maria has over 15 years management experience in the real estate and construction industries.
Patrick Griswold
Patrick Griswold
Patrick Griswold graduated from Baker College with an Associates in Applied Science, and is currently working toward his bachelor’s degree. Mr. Griswold has been in the information technology field for more than 10 years and is CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security + certified. In his role as Requisition Engineer, Mr. Griswold completes special projects for clients, both domestically and internationally. He has also created automated IT solutions for manual processes at SG Solutions. Prior to joining SG in 2015, Mr. Griswold served in various technical roles, including; Support Technician, Customer Engineer and Network OSM Technician.
Sarah Ford

Sarah Ford has over 8years of experience in the areas of Marketing, Office Management and Administrative Operations. In her role as Executive Administrative Operations Manager, Mrs. Ford is responsible for SG’s marketing and branding initiatives, managing the corporate office as well as all SG Special Projects. Mrs. Ford also assists Mr. Sanders with his books, calendars, correspondence and other daily responsibilities. Prior to joining SG in 2015, Mrs. Ford served as Executive Assistant at Carson Equities, a privately held real estate investment company, served as Residential Marketing Manager & Human Resources for Buhl Electric Company and has held similar positions for privately held companies since 2006.
Nakia Thomas

Nakia Thomas graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Walsh College of Business with a Master of Science in Management. Mrs. Thomas has 18 years of banking experience that include Management, Human Resources, and Business Development. In her role as SG’s Team Engagement Specialist, Mrs. Thomas will assist SG’s Human Resources Department and will focus on engaging SG’s team members and make them feel great about being “The Best People on the Planet”. Prior to joining SG in 2017, Mrs. Thomas served as the Business Development Representative for Michigan Schools, where she was responsible for event planning and coordination, managing relationships, as well as multiple projects, and has served in similar relationship management, recruiting and promotional roles since 2000.
